59 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Justice the number of applications made to his Department for residency permits; the length of time it takes on average to process such applications; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Records are not kept by my Department in a way which would enable me to provide the information requested. The compilation of this information would require diversion of staff resources from other duties, to an extent that could not be justified in present circumstances.
