158 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for the Environment if he has any proposals to expedite the backlog of driving tests at Wexford town; and if he has arranged to expedite a driving test for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford who is due to go abroad.
I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 15 of 26 April 1990 regarding the general question of delays in carrying out driving tests. The position in Wexford is marginally better than in the country as a whole.
Arrangements are being made to have the test carried out before the person concerned goes abroad.
