227 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in payment of a grant for the provision of an additional classroom at Cloonakilla national school (details supplied) in County Roscommon; and if and when she will finalise work on this file with a view to payment of the overdue grant in this case.
The authorities of Cloonakilla national school, County Roscommon, proceeded with the provision of a permanent classroom without the approval of my Department. However, following receipt of the local architect's report on the completion of the works, the question of the sanction of a grant is being considered. A decision in this regard will be conveyed to the school authorities at the earliest possible date.
