Ceist:

141 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for the Environment the sum of money which he has given or promised to Dublin County Council for the resurfacing of Back Road, Malahide, the work on which is required as Malahide Castle may be used during the June summit meeting; and if Ireland will be granted a special budget from the EC to carry out works required as result of the EC presidency.

My Department have informed Dublin County Council that the cost of the road works involved will be recouped from road grants, subject to a maximum grant of £105,000. Special financial assistance is not available from the Community budget to assist a member state to carry out works required as a result of the EC Presidency.
