Vol. 398 No. 8

Written Answers. - Accident Cases Facilities.

Bernard Allen

Ceist:

151 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health the plans, if any, he has to establish specialised trauma centres for accident cases as it has been reported that doctors are often unable to take proper care of seriously injured patients.

I am aware that a recommendation along these lines has been made in a recent report, "Musculo-Skeletal Trauma in Ireland" by the Irish Institute of Orthopaedic Surgeons and I expect to meet with the authors of the report on 30 May 1990 to discuss their recommendations.
