Vol. 398 No. 8

Written Answers. - Special Advisers.

Edward Nealon

Ceist:

180 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport if he will outline in respect of himself and his Minister of State (a) the number of special advisers (other than career civil servants) appointed, (b) their names, (c) their remuneration and (d) whether the appointments are on a full or part-time basis.

An economic adviser, Mr. D. Doyle, has been appointed on a full-time basis by me on secondment from the IDA. His remuneration is £27,160 per annum.

My colleagues, Ministers of State Deputy Denis Lyons, and Deputy Frank Fahey, have not appointed any special advisers.
