73 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Education the reason a grant payable to the management of St. John's primary school, Ballaghaderreen, County Roscommon, for repairs, which was sanctioned on 22 December 1989, has not been paid and when it will be paid.
As the Deputy will be aware from my reply to his question of 25 April inspections by my Department's engineer established that there were a large number of defects in respect of installation work.
However, the bulk of the grant in respect of these improvement works has been paid to the school authorities. The balance of grant remaining will be paid at an early date.
