Ceist:27 Mr. Pattison asked the Minister for Energy if he will outline all plans for private bog development in 1990; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The formulation of plans for private bog development is a matter for the private bog developers themselves and I have no direct function in this area.
I expect, however, that peat production from private bog development in 1990 will remain at the level achieved in recent years of some 1.5 million tonnes.
