174 Tomás Mac Giolla asked the Minister for Education the number of primary schools currently designated disadvantaged and which have additional staffing as a result; and the number of these schools which have an ex-quota remedial teacher on the staff in addition to the extra staffing granted as a disadvantage basis.

Of the 181 primary schools included in the staffing concession scheme for schools serving disadvantaged areas 170 have a remedial teaching service.
