Ceist:98 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Labour the up to date position of the industrial dispute at a company (details supplied) in County Tipperary.

This dispute commenced on the 12 October 1989 and involved 156 workers.
The Labour Court attempted on a number of occasions shortly after the dispute began but were not successful in finding an acceptable formula for the resolution of the dispute.
At my request the Labour Court recently intervened in the dispute. A formal hearing was held on the 12 and 16 May and a recommendation was issued by the court on 18 May.
I am pleased to be able to inform you that the court's recommendation has been accepted by the parties.
