Ceist:93 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for the Environment when the grant for flood damage to roads will be allocated to county councils.
Written Answers. - Flood Damage to Roads.
I presume the Deputy is referring to the grants to repair damage caused to public roads during the severe storms/flooding last February.
The grant allocations were notified on 2 May 1990. Details of the grants and the basis on which they were determined are set out in my reply to Question No. 73 of 23 May, 1990.
The grants are additional to those notified in February 1990, which total £1 million, in respect of storm damage which occurred in October and December 1989.
