Ceist:138 Mr. G. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Health if he has any plans to upgrade Mallow hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Mallow Hospital Upgrading.
The Southern Health Board has commenced work on a programme to upgrade Mallow General Hospital. This phase of the development will provide for the relocation of the casualty department. The funding for the other elements of the programme will be considered in the context of the five year capital plan which I am preparing at present, and having regard to the many competing demands and priority requirements of other hospitals throughout the country.
