43 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Health if he has received a report from the Joint Irish Medical Organisation/Department of Health working group on the establishment of a national drugs formulary; the number of occasions on which the group has met; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Joint Irish Medical Organisation/ Department of Health Formulary working group has completed its work on the preparation of a National Drugs Formulary and I have received a copy of the formulary.

The working group met on seven occasions. I anticipate that the formulary will be published within the next month.
