Vol. 399 No. 7

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Brian Cowen

Ceist:

85 Mr. Cowen asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the amount of ewe subsidy and suckling cow grant available to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly; and if he will arrange for payment of same.

The 1989 suckler cow grant of £1,101.03 was paid to the person named on 23 April 1990. The 1989 calf premium of £110.18 was paid on 12 April 1990. The 1989 ewe premium of £2,023.50 will be paid when payments commence in July. Two 30 per cent advance payments of the 1990 ewe premium will be paid in July and December. The amount of these advances has not yet been fixed.

Andrew Boylan

Ceist:

86 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a cattle headage payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cavan; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The husband of the person named is the registered herdowner in this case and payments have already been made to him under the 1989 cattle and equines headage, suckler cow and special beef premium schemes.

His payment under the 1989 calf premium scheme is being processed and will issue shortly.

Andrew Boylan

Ceist:

87 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a cattle headage payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cavan; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The person named did not apply under the 1989 cattle and equines headage scheme and therefore is not due grants under that scheme.

He has been paid his 1989 calf premium and suckler cow premium schemes grants already.
