124 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the group water scheme for Ballinderry, Carbury, County Kildare and neighbouring districts; if it is expected that the scheme will proceed in the current year; the cost of the scheme; the estimated cost per household; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department is awaiting the submission of a design for the proposed scheme, together with the completed application forms for group water scheme grants. This information is required so that my Department can assess the cost of the proposed works or indicate when grant approval might issue.
