Ceist:

27 Tomás Mac Giolla asked the Minister for Defence the international conventions relating to military law, which have yet to be implemented by the State; if it is intended to ratify these conventions; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Two Protocols additional to the Geneva Conventions of 1949 which relate to the protection of victims of armed conflict remain to be ratified. The matter is the subject of consultation between my Department and the Department of Foreign Affairs.
