82 Tomás Mac Giolla asked the Minister for Education the steps, if any, she has taken to clean up the vacant site for a post-primary school in Hartstown, Dublin 15, which has become a major eye-sore in the area; and when work will commence on the construction of the school.
Arrangements have been initiated with a view to putting the Department's site at Hartstown in order as soon as possible.
The question of whether a new post-primary school should be provided on the site is being kept under review in the light of the most up-to-date statistics available. Any decisions on the future provision of post-primary accommodation for the Hartstown area, or the timing of that provision, will be taken by me in the light of this review.
