Vol. 399 No. 12

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Frank Crowley

Ceist:

46 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the percentage of money paid for headage grants to date in comparison with (a) 1988 and (b) 1989.

The percentage of headage grants paid to date is 98 per cent and this is the same figure which obtained at 14 June 1989 and 14 June 1988.

Michael Creed

Ceist:

47 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be paid a suckler cow grant; the reason for the delay in this case; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This applicant has already been paid his 1989 calf premium scheme grant and an advance payment under the 1989 cattle and equines headage scheme.

Delay in payment of his 1989 suckler cow premium and the balance due under the 1989 cattle and equines headage scheme arose because of a clerical error in his inspection report which showed him as having no suckler or beef cows when in actual fact he had. The error has now been rectified and payments under those schemes are being processed and will issue shortly.

Ivan Yates

Ceist:

48 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a farm grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Carlow; and if he will expedite payment in this case.
