Vol. 399 No. 12

Written Answers. - Clondalkin (Dublin) School.

Mervyn Taylor

Ceist:

78 Mr. Taylor asked the Minister for Education if she will outline the plans she has to provide adequate accommodation for junior infants in St. Ronan's/ Deansrath national school, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, in view of the fact that 105 junior infants are due to start at the school in September 1990 and space is only available for 39; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware of the situation in relation to Deansrath national school, Clondalkin, Dublin 22. Two prefabricated classrooms have recently been provided and these have been occupied. I have fully considered the submissions made by the school authorities in relation to enrolment projections and I have already approved the provision of an additional four prefabricated classrooms. I have arranged with my Department's primary building branch that this accommodation be available in a single unit as a matter of urgency.
