Vol. 400 No. 2

Written Answers. - Driving Test Applications.

Paul Bradford

Ceist:

108 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for the Environment when a driving test will be arranged for a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

This person will be tested on a date in late July. Notice of an appointment will issue to him shortly.

Paul Bradford

Ceist:

109 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for the Environment if there has been a temporary cessation in driving test appointments for category C applicants; if so, the reason for the delay; and if appointments are being arranged at present.

There has been no cessation in driving tests for category C vehicles. Delays generally are the result of the shortage of driver testers. However, as I have indicated in replies to a number of questions recently, measures which I have put in train will systematically reduce the waiting period for tests over the coming months.
