4 Mr. Quinn asked the Taoiseach if he will outline the activities undertaken by the EUROPEN campaign; the work completed; the seminars, conferences and other events organised; the various sectors for which specialist programmes have been organised; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I would refer the Deputy to my reply to his similar question of 28 November 1989 in which I detailed the activities carried out in the course of the campaign co-ordinated by the EUROPEN Bureau established in my Department.
The final stage of that campaign consists of the publication of a series of studies, commissioned from independent experts, which looks specifically at the impact of the single market on ten of the most important sectors of the Irish economy. Eight of these studies have now been published and widely disseminated to interested parties and are on sale. The remaining two studies in the series will be published shortly.
