Ceist:21 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in the processing of a European Community young farmers' grant for a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

Because of the detailed examination required to comply with the relevant EC regulation the determination of eligibility for the young farmers installation premium is inevitably a lengthy and complex process.
The applicant in this case has now been deemed eligible and payment will be made as soon as possible.
