Written Answers. - County Tipperary Milk Quota Allocation.
As the person named has a quota in excess of 12,800 gallons he was not eligible to benefit from the recent allocations out of the 1 per cent reserve. Therefore the only way in which he can acquire additional permanent quota, apart from purchasing or leasing land with quota attached, is under his co-operative's restructuring scheme. He can be allocated quota on a temporary basis, under the temporary leasing scheme or from the distribution of flexi milk.

I have arranged for the cases of the persons named to be referred to the milk quota appeals tribunal which I recently established with a view to assisting individual producers who have suffered hardship under the milk quota system.
