16 Mr. S. Barrett asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if there has been any default in the repayment of moneys advanced under the export credit finance scheme in respect of meat exports to Iraq for the years 1987 and 1988; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There has been no default in the repayment of moneys advanced by financial institutions under the export credit finance scheme in respect of meat exports to Iraq for the years 1987 and 1988 which gave rise to claims under the scheme.
