Allocation of Time: Motion.

I move:

That, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders—

(1) the motion relating to the broadcasting of Proceedings at the Sitting of the Dáil to be held on Monday, 2nd July, shall be decided without debate;

(2) the proceedings on the Third Stage of the Broadcasting Bill, 1990, if not previously concluded, shall be brought to a conclusion at 4 p.m. today by one Question which shall be put from the Chair and which shall, in relation to amendments, include only amendments set down by the Minister for Communications;

(3) on Tuesday, 3rd July, the Dáil shall meet at 10.30 a.m.;

(4) business shall be interrupted at 12 midnight on Tuesday, 3rd July, and Wednesday, 4th July, and at 9 p.m. on Thursday, 5th July;

(5) the Sitting shall be suspended from 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday, 3rd July, and from 8.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, 3rd July, and Wednesday, 4th July;

(6) on Friday, 6th July, the Dáil shall meet at 10.30 a.m. and shall adjourn not later than 4 p.m.;

(7) in the case of the debate on the motion for the second reading of each of the following Bills, the member of the Government in charge of the Bill, or such other Member who has not already spoken as he may authorise in that behalf, shall be entitled to the time indicated for a speech in reply—

National Treasury Management Agency Bill, 1990

20 minutes

Insurance Bill, 1990

15 minutes

Sea Pollution Bill, 1990

15 minutes;

(8) in the case of each of the following Bills (and any related motions for Financial Resolutions, which motions shall be decided without debate), where the proceedings thereon have not already concluded, such proceedings shall be brought to a conclusion at the time and on the day indicated by one Question which shall be put from the Chair and which shall, in relation to amendments, include only amendments set down by the member of the Government in charge of the Bill:—

(9) in the case of the statement which the Taoiseach proposes to make under Standing Order 41 on Wednesday, 4th July, on the recently held European Communities Summit Meeting, the following arrangements shall apply:

(a) the statement shall not exceed one hour; and

(b) such other statements as the Ceann Comhairle may allow shall not exceed 45 minutes in each case.
