199 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Health when a decision will be made regarding a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary, who is seeking the backdating of his application for changeover from domiciliary care allowance to disabled person's maintenance allowance; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Payment of disabled persons maintenance allowance in any individual case is a matter for the health board concerned.

I have referred the Deputy's question to the chief executive of the South Eastern Health Board and I will communicate with the Deputy in the near future.
