Ceist:12 Mr. Kavanagh asked the Minister for Energy if he will outline the return on capital employed for each of the last five years of the ESB; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The information requested by the Deputy concerning the return on capital employed for each of the last five years by the ESB is available in the 1989 Annual Report and Accounts of the Board, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library. I am satisfied that the return on capital is sufficient for the ESB to meet its future obligations.
