Ceist:52 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the organisation which is responsible for the enforcement of the Industrial Research and Standards (Fire Safety) (Domestic Furniture) Order, 1988; the number of persons involved; the number of inspections which have taken place since the introduction of the order; if these inspections are carried out on an organised basis or on the basis of complaints made by members of the public; the number of prosecutions which have taken place; and if his attention has been drawn to the feeling among genuine furniture manufacturers that the regulations are being ignored by a substantial number of back street furniture manufacturers who are gaining an unfair advantage.
