Vol. 401 No. 2

Written Answers. - Speech Therapy Service for County Kerry.

Michael Moynihan

Ceist:

66 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for Health if, in view of the inadequate speech therapy services available to children in County Kerry, he will take steps, as a matter of urgency, to provide a speech therapy service for all children who have been assessed.

The provision of speech therapy services in County Kerry is a matter for the Southern Health Board having regard to the resources available to them and the availability of the personnel in question. I understand that an additional speech therapist is due to take up appointment in September next.
