I propose to take Questions Nos. 39, 43, 54 and 61 together. Consideration of the matters referred to in the questions will be considered by the Primary Education Review Body and their report will be available later this year. It will address issues concerning the structures and operation of primary education including those that relate specifically to education for children with disabilities.
It has been long established practice in my Department to ensure that all national schools are easily accessible to disabled children including those who use wheelchairs and to provide suitable toilet facilities where required. All new national schools are designed on the basis of the provision of these facilities as a matter of course.
