Ceist:

13 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Taoiseach the steps he has taken to comply with the requirements of Article 28.5.2º of the Constitution to keep the President generally informed on matters of domestic and international policy; the number of occasions since 12 July 1990 on which he has met with the President for this purpose; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

As I and my predecessor in office said in reply to similar questions in the past, it would not be appropriate — nor would it be in keeping with the dignity of the office of President — to give precise details. I can, however, assure the Deputy that I have fully discharged my duty under the Article in question.
