100 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for the Environment if a financial allocation has been sanctioned to Cork County Council for housing at Cloyne, County Cork; the number of houses to be built; if tenders have been sought; when construction will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The capital available for the local authority housing construction programme in 1990 was fully allocated to housing authorities on 22 February 1990. It was a matter for each authority to decide on the housing schemes they wished to commence this year having regard to the level of new work authorised for them. The houses referred to by the Deputy were not chosen by the housing authority concerned for commencement in 1990.
