Vol. 402 No. 8

Written Answers - National Lottery Funding.

Ivan Yates

Ceist:

102 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for the Environment when a national lottery grant will be paid to an organisation, (details supplied) in County Wexford; the reason for the delay; and the procedure to be adopted.

No claim for payment of the grant in this case has yet been received in my Department.

Under the 1990 amenities recreational facilities grants scheme, grant payments to organisations are made initially to the local authority who then forward the sum involved to the organisation concerned. Payments are made on the basis of certificates from the local authority that expenditure of a stated amount has been properly incurred in accordance with the conditions of the scheme. Project sponsors wishing to claim full or partial payment of a grant should, therefore, contact the local authority with a view to having the appropriate certificate given and payment claimed.
