Vol. 402 No. 9

Written Answers. - Whitegate Oil Refinery Production.

Seán Barrett

Ceist:

43 Mr. S. Barrett asked the Minister for Energy the current level of production from Whitegate Oil Refinery; the price of the product sold from the refinery (a) to fulfil the 35 per cent quota and (b) for sales over and above the quota; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Whitegate Refinery is operating at a level of 30,000 barrels per day at present.

The price applicable in November to gasoline sold by the refinery under the mandatory regime is £245.86 per tonne; the price of gasoil is £201.57 per tonne and the price of propane and butane is $320 per tonne.
There are no sales above the mandatory regime quota at present.
