84 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for the Environment whether he will approve the purchase by Skibbereen Urban District Council of a two and a half acre site at Upper Bridge Street, Skibbereen, County Cork, which is required for housing purposes.
On 4 September 1990 the council were informed that, based on the level of housing needs in the Skibbereen area and considering the size of the local authority's current land holding, it is not considered appropriate for the urban district council to acquire extra land at this time.
A further letter has been received from the council on the matter and a reply will issue in due course.
