171 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline (a) the years in which local elections were due to be held since the foundation of the State (b) the occasions on which local elections were postponed and (c) in respect of each of these occasions, the principal stated reason for the postponement.
The information sought at (a) and (b) of the Deputy's question is set out in the table below. I refer the Deputy to the Official Report of the Dáil on the relevant legislation or ministerial order which postponed local elections for the reasons for postponement.
