Ceist:79 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Defence (1) the establishment and strength of the Permanent Defence Forces by rank and corps who are attached on a full time basis to units or formations, including the directorate of reserve forces and command headquarters, of the reserve Defence Forces on 30 September in the years 1984 to 1990; (2) whether it is intended to increase the number of lieutenants and captain in FCÁ and Slua Muirí units; (3) the number of officers by rank and corps who are attached on a temporary or additional basis to the FCÁ and Slua Muirí as at September or additional basis to the FCÁ and Slua Muirí as at 30 September 1987, 1988, 1989 and 1990; (4) his views on whether the status of those referred to at (3) above is not conducive to an adequate level of training and administration of the reserve; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
