50 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make available to Cork Corporation the necessary funding to complete the interceptor sewer programme so that it can go ahead with the setting up of an effluent treatment plant.
The extension of the interceptor sewers has been included in the brief to be issued to consultants for the provision of a secondary treatment plant for Cork city. The question of providing funds to complete the interceptor sewer programme must await the outcome of the consultants' report.
