138 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if it is his intention to extend the installation aid scheme to farmers who take out a long term lease and who are eligible under all other qualification criteria; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
139 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if it is his intention to include agri-tourism and other related activities in the assessment of labour units for qualification for installation aid grants; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 138 and 139 together.
The suggested changes will be considered in the review of the scheme of installation aid for young farmers which is at present taking place in my Department. It is hoped to have this review completed shortly.
