229 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for Education if she will arrange for the appointment of a permanent secretary to St. Attracta's senior school, Meadowbrook, Dublin 16, as requested by the principal of the school; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
The school in question has never had a clerk-typist under the Department's scheme. Under the terms of my Department's scheme for the employment of clerk-typists in schools, it is not possible to approve the creation of any new posts.
It would appear to be open to the school to make application for clerical help under the social employment scheme.
