Vol. 403 No. 4

Written Answers. - School Transport.

Austin Deasy

Ceist:

255 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education if she will make special arrangements for the transport of a child (details supplied) in County Waterford, in view of her severe disability, and the necessity for individual attention.

As this child cannot be catered for adequately on a primary school special bus service, my Department are investigating the possibility of accommodating her on a post-primary service. Should such an arrangement prove unworkable my Department would be in a position to offer the family a grant towards the cost of private transport.
