Ceist:61 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding the proposed new community school at Lismore, County Waterford.

In addition to the establishment of a new community school the proposed rationalisation of facilities in Lismore also involves the primary schools. It is understood that the authorities of the primary schools intend to meet to discuss the future organisation of their schools and my Department must await the outcome of these discussions before advancing with plans for the proposed community school project.
