Vol. 403 No. 5

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Benefit.

Paul McGrath

Ceist:

80 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Health the reason a disabled persons maintenance allowance is not payable to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath who has multiple sclerosis, was deemed medically eligible for the allowance, and despite the recent Healy Court decision is still not in receipt of the allowance.

Payment of disabled persons maintenance allowance in any individual case is a matter for the health board concerned. Accordingly the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer, Midland Health Board with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
