78 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Energy (a) the funds (b) the resources and (c) the ideas or other supports he plans to contribute towards the effort of Dublin as the European Community cultural capital for 1991; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
My Department has no statutory responsibility for activities coming within the programme referred to. Consequently, no funding or other resources are being made available by my Department in 1991 for such purposes.
However, I am aware that the ESB will be making a contribution in sponsoring an exhibition on Georgian Dublin from 1 May next.
