Ceist:41 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce when the special report commissioned by his Department on the Shannon Estuary will be published.

As I have previously informed the Deputy, it is not the intention to publish this study which was undertaken primarily to establish the development potential of the estuary. I am satisfied that this potential will be exploited to the maximum possible extent as a result of the new responsibility of Shannon Development for the promotion of the estuary which I announced on 20 July last.
