321 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Environment if he intends to announce new Government initiatives on housing; if he will indicate the areas of housing policy which these initiatives will address; and when he intends to make this announcement.
322 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Environment if he intends to introduce a new Housing Bill; and the aspects of housing policy which it is intended to address.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 321 and 322 together.
I intend to publish, in the near future, a document detailing the new housing initiatives which are referred to in paragraphs 79 to 86 of the Programme for Economic and Social Progress. This document, which will be circulated to Deputies, will also indicate the principal provisions to be made in a new Housing Bill.
