352 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Education the reason the tender of a contractor (details supplied) in County Mayo for the extension to Partry national school, County Mayo, was not formally acknowledged; and whether this tender was the lowest on offer.

It is not my Department's practice to formally acknowledge to contractors the receipt of individual tenders in relation to national schools projects. The tender submitted by the firm referred to by the Deputy was not the lowest received.
