Ceist:

144 Mr. McCartan asked the Minister for Justice if he will outline the requests he has made to the Law Reform Commission since he has taken office, for reports or proposals on reform of the law; the dates on which these requests were made; and the response to any such requests to date.

I have no statutory power to make requests to the Law Reform Commission for reports or proposals on reform of the law. That is a matter for the Attorney General under the Law Reform Commission Act, 1975.
