Ceist:

89 Mr. Taylor asked the Minister for Finance the number of clerical officers in each Government Department; the number of word processors/pc's in each Government Department; and the number of clerical officers or higher grade officers receiving work processing allowances.

The information sought is shown in the following tabular statement. Column (a) shows the number of clerical officers, including departmental clerical officers, serving in each Department on 1/1/91. Column (b) shows the number of word processors/pc's in each Department. The agreed arrangements for word processing allowances preclude their being paid to any grade above the level of clerical assistant (typist).
