Peter Barry
Ceist:39 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for the Environment if he will establish the headquarters of the Environmental Protection Agency in Cork.
Vol. 404 No. 7
39 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for the Environment if he will establish the headquarters of the Environmental Protection Agency in Cork.
113 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for the Environment if the Government have made a decision on the location of the headquarters of the new Environmental Protection Agency; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
154 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for the Environment when he proposes to have the Environmental Protection Agency set up and in operation; and if he plans to have the agency headquarters located outside Dublin.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 39, 113 and 154 together.
The Environmental Protection Agency Bill, 1990, is currently at Second Stage in the Seanad. It is intended to establish the agency without delay as soon as the Bill is enacted.
Whilst the final decision on the location of the agency has not been made by the Government the possibility of locating the agency outside Dublin is being seriously pursued.
